Alice Lake, Idaho

Alice Lake is often referred to as "crown jewel" of the Sawtooth Mountains. The trails are very well maintained and the views are nothing short of spectacular. Make sure to bring your camera because the picture perfect views are jaw dropping!

Tips:

  • Waterproof hiking shoes recommended. There are plenty of creek crossings.
  • Avoid going there in the middle of summer. This is one of the most popular destinations in the Sawtooth Mountains.
  • Make sure the trails are officially open. There could be snow as late as July. 
  • If you are spending several days at the lake, go before the weekend to secure a perfect spot. 
  • Bring a water filter. There are a lot of creeks along the trail.
