Arrowrock Reservoir, Idaho

Arrowrock Reservoir has been my long time favorite place to fish. It is only a 45 minutes from Boise. It's best to go in the evening when the sun is tucked behind the mountains. Bring some camping chairs, firewood, and a fishing pole.

Fishing	Good: Rainbow Trout (Worm & marshmallow, rooster tails)

Tips:

There is no shade. Bring sunglasses and a hat. It gets scorching hot there in the middle of summer.
Stop by and check out Arrowrock Dam (you will drive through it).
Drive down the scenic N Fork Boise River Road. You will eventually hit the tree line with several beautiful campgrounds.
